eGuidelines Extremely helpful summaries of guidelines from key sources such as NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence), the Department of Health, and various Independent Professional Bodies. You will need a GMC number to register.

National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence The definitive source for UK guidelines. NICE is an independent organisation responsible for "providing national guidance on promoting good health and preventing and treating ill health". With the need to allocate expensive treatments within the constraints of finite resources, the decisions of NICE ultimately govern what can and can't be prescribed (i.e. what is and isn't deemed cost-effective.
