Although the ABC series is aimed largely at the GP/SHO market, it still remains a great resource for medical students. With an abundance of pictures (essential for learning about the mysteries of the eyes), this book is ideally suited to bridging the gap between you pretending you know what a blurred disk looks like, and actually knowing what one looks like. Whilst you may not be expected to grade the case of proliferative diabetic retinopathy that you are presented with in your exam, it is always best to be as prepared as you can be. If the fundoscopy gods shine on you on exam day, then you may even miraculously see those extra blood vessels. No matter how good your fundoscopy skills, however, that could count for nothing if you've never before seen an example of a particular pathology and therefore have no idea what you're looking at. To win those bonus points and to ensure you give yourself the best chance, make sure you've flicked through this book first.
